Duration

1 hour

Feed Me is the shortest visit at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Samui, about an hour at the camp in Maenam on the north coast of the island. It suits anyone who wants to meet the elephants without giving up a whole morning, and it works well with children because there is no water and nothing strenuous.

You check in at the camp, meet your English speaking guide and sit through a short briefing on the elephants and how to behave around them. Then you go out to the herd with baskets of fruit and fibre and feed them by hand while the guide tells you about each animal. There is time for photos throughout. At the end you get a complimentary drink before you leave.

Transport is not part of this programme. Arrange your own taxi or ride hailing app to the Soi 2 camp in Maenam and plan to arrive about fifteen minutes before your start time. The sanctuary describes its care model as no riding and no performances, and all contact with the animals is supervised by the handlers. The booking closes one hour before the session starts, and the sanctuary asks for your passport number for its insurance cover.
