No. This program includes a free shuttle from the sanctuary's office on Pattaya 3rd Road on shuttle sessions, or you can drive to the camp in Khao Mai Kaeo yourself. Hotel transfers are only part of the longer programs.
Shuttle sessions leave the office at 9:00, 10:00, 12:00 and 15:00. If you drive yourself, sessions start at the camp at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 16:00. Arrive 15 minutes early.
No. The sanctuary states that there is no riding and no performances, and that it holds ACES Gold ethical certification. You feed, watch and, on the bathing programs, help wash the elephants under the supervision of their handlers.
Yes, the programs are rated easy and open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
The program runs in any weather, including heavy rain. The supplier does not cancel for rain, so bring a light rain layer in the wet season.
