The Home Massage & Spa has two branches on the south side of Chiang Mai's Old City, a few minutes apart: the main house at 17 Ragang Road and a newer branch at 96/2-3 Rat Chiang Saen Road near Chiang Mai Gate (open since April 2025). The spa tells you which one you are booked into.
Yes. The spa's car picks you up free of charge from hotels in the Old City area and brings you back afterwards. Enter your hotel name and room number at checkout and be at the pickup spot about 30 minutes before your treatment time. Staying further out? Message us before you book and we will ask the spa.
Yes. The spa takes a preference for a female therapist, a male therapist or no preference. Write it in the Special Requests box at checkout and we pass it on with your booking.
Yes. Tell your therapist at the start whether you want light, medium or strong pressure, and say so during the massage if it should change. The deep tissue massages are the firm ones from the start.
Yes. The spa has couple rooms as well as single rooms, each with its own shower. Book everyone in one booking, and add a note in Special Requests that you would like to share a room.
Yes, the spa has a pool. Guests often arrive a little early for a swim before their treatment; ask the spa when your pickup comes.
You can use the shower in your room, guests are usually offered tea and a small sweet, and the spa drives you back to your hotel in the Old City.
The spa is open every day from 10:00 to 22:00. Pick any start time from 10:00; the last treatment starts at 21:00. Book by 20:00 the day before; for a same-day visit, message us and we will check with the spa.
For a first Thai massage, take the Classical Thai or the house Thai balm massage. After a lot of walking, the foot massage; for stiff shoulders from travelling, the upper part massage; for knots that need firm work, the deep tissue Thai massage. The 90-minute herbal compress massage is the most traditional of all.
